About
Umi Izakaya is a small, cute Japanese izakaya with a cozy, adorably Japanese-style decor. Its diverse menu ranges from miso ramen and sushi to grilled skewers like bacon-wrapped enoki mushrooms, with moderate portions and reasonable prices. Enthusiastic, friendly staff create an ideally relaxing atmosphere for sipping sake with friends.

The menu has a variety of dishes, the prices seem reasonable, but the food served is truly surprising. Everything is very small :))). The quality of each dish is okay. Overall, it looks cheap but is expensive. I find it not very tasty compared to other eateries I've tried in Da Nang. The space is okay.
My best choice when eating Japanese food in Da Nang. Because every birthday occasion I come here, I have a certain attachment to the eatery. ...
Delicious food, enthusiastic and lovely staff, everyone can come and experience it.
It's very narrow here, but it's busy and delicious. Sometimes they get confused about who ordered what. A tip is to order multiple things you want to eat all at once. Drinks come quickly, but the food menu is a bit slow, so you need to order everything at once. I ordered everything except the skewers that weren't available, and ate salmon sashimi (about 8 pieces), drank about 3 glasses of draft Sapporo, and spent about 38,000 won. I left very full. The food is really delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by!! Card payment is accepted. There's a 2% VAT added.
Tantanmen: The broth was rich and good, but the minced meat in the broth had a gamey smell. Kimchi: ? (Looks like kimchi only) Salmon sushi: The vinegared rice taste was too weak...
The staff are very friendly, and when I was getting tired of Vietnamese food, I liked that there were so many diverse menu options. If you like alcohol, I definitely recommend it. I had sashimi, salmon, and various skewers, and they were delicious. The staff are really kind. Especially the woman with black-rimmed glasses was very kind, so I was grateful.
Most things are delicious. Don't eat the tuna. There are also many pretty girls lol
★Please, Koreans, you must see this!! Don't ruin your trip★ Oh... truly the worst ㅜㅜ I was having so much fun on my Vietnam trip, and this was the last restaurant... If you go thinking of a Korean izakaya, you're screwed. The tantanmen tasted like fried Jin Ramen with perilla oil, and who serves chicken cartilage with all the meat removed, just the cartilage? The crab gratin just tasted like crab shell with imitation crab mixed in and lots of sauce. I ordered a ton of other stuff too, but I asked them to throw it all away. Only locals come here, or maybe influencers coming for photos. Or maybe the food here suits their taste... it's crazy. Would you believe the last menu item is a 10,000 won wagyu ramen?! Aaaaaa really ㅜㅜ The reviews are completely polarizing—did the people who gave five stars never go to a Korean izakaya? At least the tako wasabi tasted like regular tako wasabi... I did go knowing it was cheap, but when traveling, you can eat cheap and delicious food a lot. Please, please don't go here; go buy 200 more banh mi instead 🩷
Average portions and the rice in the rolls is overcooked. Otherwise everything is great: taste, prices, atmosphere
I adore this place, I want to come here often and always enjoy myself, everything is wonderful here, very tasty food, beautiful, cozy! ...
Very tasty, for two people I overate. Great place.
Atmospheric, sometimes you have to stand in line to get a seat. The food didn't really suit me, but the place itself is beautiful.
Very tasty, authentic Japanese atmosphere and excellent service! We will come back again❤
We ordered so many delicious dishes that we ate everything before we even had time to take photos! Everything was perfect.
Cute restaurant, delicious food
I went there to drink beer, with no other purpose. I wanted a beer that wasn't bland, so before going to Hoi An. The beer was delicious. Most of the snacks were also delicious. It was past peak season, so other restaurants were quiet, but this one was crowded. Maybe because I went early, the dishes were served quickly.
This restaurant is really delicious. Two of us ordered 1 bacon salad, 1 curry egg rice, 1 ramen, 1 small sashimi set, and 1 mango roll (got 2 free drinks, unfortunately the restaurant doesn't have tea or non-carbonated soft drinks so we had to drink bottled water). We were very full, so you should skip one dish of rice or ramen to avoid being too full. The bill was about 41x thousand VND, I don't remember exactly, roughly 200k/person. The curry egg rice was very tasty and just right, the miso ramen was a bit salty, the mango avocado roll was sweet and interesting. The restaurant has many beautiful corners with an izakaya vibe. The staff say hello and goodbye in Japanese. You should visit for the experience if you travel to Da Nang 💘
We had a great Sunday evening in your restaurant. Thank you very much. Despite the fact that the room was full, we were able to sit down because we had reserved. Delicious dishes, very affordable prices, good cocktails, service...
I was here 6 months ago. There were many problems with the food, an incorrect order. Wrong information. They said the food had no meat. It turned out there was meat, and they are...
The eatery is quite crowded, so everyone should book a table in advance. The food comes out quickly at times and very slowly at others. The place is also noisy, so remember to confirm your order carefully with the staff to avoid getting the wrong dish.
👉 Food: 6/10 Food quality is average. First time eating Yukke Salmon but they added mayonnaise, and no shoyu at all >> very strange, disgusting Curry rice dish: Vietnamese rice grains are firm, Japanese rice is completely different Grilled crab claws: only imitation crab sticks and cheese. No crab meat and shrimp roe. The texture of the dish is quite loose Seaweed salad: okay TanTanmen: okay 👉 Order of serving: Noodles > Rice > Crab claws > Salad > Salmon eggs. One ordered dish never came so I canceled (45'). Asked the restaurant for an explanation but it was quite unreasonable. ok 👉 Atmosphere: The restaurant is lively, crowded because I went on the weekend. However, the table next to me, two uncles and aunties and a young girl, were also very upset because all the orders were wrong 👉 Interior and exterior: Neat but a bit cramped.
Apart from the cartilage sausage, the other dishes are quite delicious, the space is okay. Minus points for the card swipe fee ^^
Overall ok, reasonable price. The space is small, the day I came it was quite crowded and had to wait for a table, so if you don't want to wait, you can book in advance.
The food is delicious and the staff is super cute. I called two staff members, Yen Nhi and Tan, quite a few times, but they were still cheerful and enthusiastic, and they took nice photos, hehe. Ten points.
