Yen Yakiniku - Buffet Nướng Nhật Bản Đà Nẵng

I genuinely have no idea how this place has a 4.8 rating. I usually avoid buffets, but it was recommended locally so we decided to give it a try. I was honestly shocked. The food was extremely disappointing. Every cut of meat was tough and lacked quality. The salmon tasted bland and looked artificially coloured, with no real flavour. The hot pot was overly sweet and unbalanced. The service was good and staff were polite, even offering some complimentary items, which was appreciated. Despite the good service, I would not recommend this restaurant based on the food quality.

The restaurant has fresh and delicious food at reasonable prices. Especially, there is a promotion "pay for 3 when 4 dine" which is very cost-effective for groups of friends or families. Initially, the experience was not really comfortable because we arrived first but were served later. However, after we gave feedback, the staff quickly paid more attention and even gave us a small cake as an apology, showing care and goodwill. The restaurant space is quite good, airy and pleasant. The sashimi dishes here are very fresh, and the grilled meat is also flavorful and tasty. Overall, the quality of the food and service is worth the money. The staff are friendly, good listeners, and handle situations well. This is a place worth returning to in the future—delicious, economical, and with attentive service.

I came to the restaurant on the evening of February 6 at 7:20 PM and sat at table 14.2. This was the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant of this type. The food was nothing special, but the worst part was the attitude of the serving staff. Maybe we weren't dressed fancy, but that doesn't give you the right to discriminate against customers like that. When bringing out dishes, they just plopped them on the table without introducing the names, didn't care whether we ate fast or slow, missed some dishes, and didn't inform us when all dishes were served. Dishes came out in a rush, piling up on the table. When the hot pot arrived, they didn't bring a stove; they left us to put it on the grill ourselves, to fend for ourselves. They automatically served dessert without checking if we had finished eating. The male server that day deliberately stood sideways to cover his name tag, so I couldn't see his name. He spoke extremely fast and gave unclear advice to first-time customers. My friend couldn't keep up and asked again, and he started getting attitude. I've never seen a restaurant standard that allows servers to have long nails with elaborate nail art. Very bad. I won't recommend this place and will definitely not return. Thank you for listening.

Delicious food, attentive staff

I've been back here a few times, but last night on 10/2, I found this time to be the worst, from the food to the service. It seems the restaurant is cutting costs quite aggressively and should reconsider. Based on my personal experience, I used to really like Yen, but now I choose not to return.
