I like to try different restaurants to experience their selections, tastes and variations. However, when I came here for lunch and ordered Cao Lau the staff member raced over to the restaurant next door and placed my order with them. Now the Cao Lau was good - I already know this as I've eaten at this neighbouring restaurant many times - but I wanted to try THEIR version not next door's....and at a much higher price too. The funniest thing is that the lady from the other restaurant came over and served me her Cao Lau, and then recognised me (and my dog). So my low rating, is mostly due to the above scenario. Maybe because of the recent flooding and how quiet tourism is when I visited, the staff seemed rather uninterested in me and my patronage. Overall, not the best of experiences. Knowing that there is a chance of eating food from a neighbouring restaurant, I wouldn't return here again. Noteworthy, is that the place is worth eating at if you're new to Cam Nam Island and haven't yet tried the HoiAn specialty foods in an authentic (more or less) local restaurant.

A very pleasant, homely eatery with delicious food. Amazing peace with a view of the water and palm trees, plus birds singing, not the sounds of cars and scooters like in Old City Hoi An. We ordered dishes with shrimp in a delicious tamarind sauce and rolls that had great proportions of ingredients with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables, and we haven't encountered such good ones anywhere else in Vietnam, even in very good and expensive restaurants. The service was very nice and polite from a young lady. We really recommend this restaurant, which is located in a less touristy area, but it's only about 15 minutes from the center, and if you want to take a walk in a peaceful, not crowded tourist spot, this restaurant is a must-have! Thank you for the delicious lunch!
Delicious food, clean restaurant
We liked this place. Friendly staff and tasty, inexpensive food compared to the tourist area. Honest portion of meat. You can also sit at tables by the river. Quiet, cool, and peaceful. And sometimes boats float by. Also, very importantly, the kitchen was clean.
A reasonable lunch and dinner spot in Hoi An
Excellent restaurant!! I recommend the combo with spring rolls + BBQ pork + banh xeo, adding rice and eggplant makes an excellent meal for two people!! Very reasonable price!

We ended up here by chance. The dishes were average, we were served by two very kind ladies, only one of whom spoke a little English, enough to order food and drinks. Prices were very honest even though they are not marked on the menu.
