What a fabulous gem! Currently the only Michelin star restaurant in central Vietnam could perhaps be a Two star soon? Everything from the reception area, the bar, the dining room … just exceptional! Of course the food was cooked to perfection with some really beautiful dishes presented and cooked in a perfect way. And the spot! Bucket list to stay at this magnificent hotel. As they say - well worth a visit!
A Michelin star? The food was highly disappointing. Tough substandard lamb, fish that had such a vinegary taste I couldn't eat it, oversalted butter for the bread. Basics are out of line here. Balance is far from being established. A car wreck of courses, and for Michelin star prices. I highly suggest you avoid this hotel resort trap. Not at all deserving of a Michelin star.

Maison 1888, Danang, Vietnam. A fine dining restaurant and the only Mechlin starred restaurant in Central Vietnam. Serving refined French cuisine, restaurant offers a set course menu. Ingredients are sourced from Vietnam, France and Japan. Despite the set menu, the portions are quite generous. The dining room is elegant and chic. Service is for formal but friendly. Mina förväntningar var höga men infriades inte riktigt. Maten var god men inte i paritet med priserna och det kändes att man var tvungen att välja vinpaketen men det oftast för stor blandning så föredrar en flaska champagne. Servicen var till en början bra men det märkliga var att ingen tog notis när vi lämnade restaurangen, inte ett hej då. Nej ska man gå på Michelin-restaurang med franskt tema ska detta göras i Europa. De andra restaurangerna på hotellet var alla bättre än La Maison 1888.
This review is for buffalo bar, connected to the restaurant. The bartender there, binh, is the best of the best- went out of his way to make our honeymoon special. He can make any cocktail, and does it perfectly! 10/10
Had a great few nights at buffalo bar with a great wine and cocktail list. Exceptional service from Binh Le and Toan with wine and cocktails, the best service we have had in Vietnam.
A truly memorable experience from start to finish. The New Years Eve menu and wine pairing was excellent and the overall experience ranked with three star venues we have visited. We left with all our expectations exceeded - bravo. My photography skills are lacking but these give an idea 😊
Extremely disappointing dining experience. The food was honestly disgusting and nowhere near the standard expected from a fine-dining restaurant at a luxury resort. Dishes were poorly executed, lacked flavor, and felt completely overpriced for what was served. Presentation may try to look upscale, but it cannot hide the fact that the food itself was unappetizing and forgettable. For a restaurant with such a reputation and price point, this was shocking. Service and ambience cannot compensate for bad food. We left frustrated and regretted dining here. Absolutely not worth the money, and certainly not worthy of the hype or location. Would not recommend.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience! We had a phenomenal meal. Service was exceptional! Not being guests there, we had no idea how to find the cable car and it would have been helpful to have had someone show us where to go!
The food here is truly terrible—I completely agree with the one-star reviews. Even after two months, there's been no improvement whatsoever. We enjoyed excellent dinners at the hotel's Italian and Vietnamese restaurants, but this French restaurant falls at least three levels below them in quality.
Fantastic experience all around. The ambiance, the food and the service were exceptional. A special thanks to Nina for walking us around the grounds a bit after the restaurant and sharing a bit about the property's history and vision. We'd love to come back!
Phenomenal experience for Christmas Lunch at La Maison. Menu was beautifully crafted, service was beyond exceptional. A tour was given of the restaurant along with detailed insight to the story. A truly memorable and magical experience.
Ruben was very accommodating and funny. The staff were attentive. The food was great.
La Maison is a beautiful restaurant within the Intercontinental Hotel in Da Nang. Once you have taken the cable car down you are greeted with friendly hosts. The building itself is very opulent and reminds me of being in Paris. We did the 5 course set menu which also included snacks and delicious warm bread. We also had a glass of champagne and bubbles which was enough with all of the food. French food is known to be rich so take your time with the courses. Everything was stunningly presented, we even had the chef come out a few times and shave some truffles on our steak. We were advised that everything is sourced from France but also Vietnam for the herbs. Our server Ruben was amazing and very funny. He was great at explaining the snacks and I loved his attention to detail. Everything is on point at this restaurant, even when I got cold they were able to change the temperature and give me a scarf to wear. It is a very special dining experience if you love fine dining this is your place!
A beautifully designed space with excellent service and food. This Michelin star restaurant stands out from others which we have dined at, with their thoughtful and attentive team. The chef himself makes an effort to interact with diners and we enjoyed all the courses in our set menu as they were very well executed. Special thanks and appreciation to Ruben for his warm hospitality and having elevated our dining experience further. This was our second visit to the restaurant and we would love to go back!

La Maison 1888 is without a doubt one of the best restaurants we have ever visited. It is not only the spectacular set menu, with food that was truly outstanding, but also the stunning architecture and the story behind it. We also want to commend the exceptional service provided by Rubén Menéndez and the entire team at La Maison. Ruben gave us a wonderful tour of the property and introduced each dish with great care. His storytelling elevated the entire experience and made the evening feel absolutely magical. The service was exceptional in every sense, and we cannot wait to come back.
