It's very delicious, everyone. A must-try eatery when traveling to Da Nang. The place is very crowded, but clean and the food comes out quickly. The dipping sauce is incredibly addictive, goes well with both spring rolls and pancakes. The pancakes are served hot and crispy, wrap them with vegetables and dip in the sauce for an amazing taste.
The dipping sauce is amazing. The beef has a bit less lolot leaves but still delicious. The banh xeo also has eggs 😋 but the vegetables are not washed clean, a bit wilted. ...
The eatery is very average, but expensive. It's located near the end of an alley specializing in bánh xèo and Đà Nẵng specialties. They sell portions of 4 pieces for 80k, but each piece only has one soft shrimp and one piece of lean meat; overall, not tasty. The dipping sauce is also not good. The attitude is not welcoming, like they don't care if you eat or not. Each table should have a trash bin for cleanliness. Everyone should consider choosing another eatery.
I am a person who really likes bánh xèo. I heard it's a kind of mecca for bánh xèo among Koreans, so I visited for the first time in three attempts. The bean sauce for dipping? I felt that this sauce, whether its base is meat broth or not, was the most delicious among the places I've tried. I like herbs and vegetables, but I don't really like the fermented bean paste flavor of the traditional sauce made with local fermented bean paste (?)—but this sauce didn't have that distinctive taste, so I found it quite good. However, the bánh xèo and nem nướng themselves felt ordinary to me. I thought, 'The place I ordered delivery from with high Grab ratings, a bánh xèo shop near my Hoi An accommodation, was crispier and better!' The shrimp weren't large, and when I ate them after picking them out, they poked my mouth and the shells were tough, so since I don't have strong teeth, it was a bit uncomfortable to eat. Since it's famous as a good restaurant, if you're curious and it's on your route, I recommend stopping by or visiting if you have a relaxed schedule, but if you have a tight schedule, going out of your way... The corn🌽 drink was okay—I tried it and it tasted like corn sikhye or corn gamju, which is how I'd describe it. It was my first time trying it, so I felt it was a good experience. I occasionally saw it sold at other places too. The restaurant was spacious, the staff were cleaning very diligently, there was a hand-washing area next to the entrance, and the restroom was old but clean and odorless, which was nice. I felt that Vietnamese cuisine isn't necessarily delicious only at places famous as good restaurants, and this place definitely had a great price advantage compared to other famous restaurants!
A place I've been visiting since 2013! Back then, there were hardly any tourists. Now there's a Michelin-selected sign and still lots of people! The price has gone up a bit, but the taste remains the same, especially the corn juice is delicious. It's still located in the alley. In Korea, you can't get this taste and it can't be this cheap. Now it's a famous place even among Koreans, so I'll skip the explanation! A famous banh xeo restaurant.
I am Swiss, a cook and pastry chef, and frankly it was rather deplorable as a place and service. I don't understand the hype. First, the floor is dirty, and the waiters don't understand anything even with a translator. I don't eat pork and in the sauce there was pork, who would have thought! I had the crepe with beef and shrimp. And the dried shrimp was not great. They brought us salad that was a bit wilted and there wasn't much cilantro or mint, the best. And there was an herb that tastes like fish but it was disgusting. Frankly, I don't understand the hype, it wasn't even excellent.
Small restaurant that is more like a canteen, but the dishes are very good and very efficient.
A local restaurant located at the end of an alley where you can find several shops selling dried beef and rice crepes. Once you reach the end, you'll find this large restaurant with a limited menu, 4 dishes to choose from. The value for money is unbeatable, barely €5/person. Everything is good, fast, and friendly. A good one.
We ordered delivery to the hotel. The food was not tasty, half of the greens smelled like fish. As a result, we got poisoned and are dying at home, remembering yesterday's order with horror.
There is no cafe at this location; it has moved 800 meters away. We walked there and did not regret it; the food is very tasty and authentic. In the menu, meat skewers cost 6000, but they don't bring fewer than 10 pieces, keep that in mind! In banh xeo, the shrimp are not peeled, it's better to ...
The best in their field, tasty, filling, but expensive
The pancakes are just excellent. My children specially come to Da Nang to visit this establishment.
I visited Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng on a sunny day, and it turned out to be one of the best places to try bánh xèo in Da Nang. The atmosphere here is relaxed and local: simple tables are set up in the shade, keeping it cool and comfortable even in the midday heat. Locals come here regularly, and the steady stream of regular customers shows that this is a genuine place, not a tourist trap. The bánh xèo itself is the highlight of the establishment. Each pancake is served hot and crispy on the edges, with the perfect golden color you'd expect. The batter is light but firm enough to hold the generous filling of juicy pork, fresh shrimp, and crunchy bean sprouts. The combination of textures—crispy on the outside and tender inside—makes every bite delightful. But what truly sets this place apart is the freshness of the ingredients and the balance of flavors. The pancake is not greasy, and the filling has a bright, well-seasoned taste that isn't too heavy. The serving of salad and herbs with the bánh xèo is generous and fresh. Wrapping pieces in the greens and dipping them in the savory, slightly sweet fish sauce makes the dish even better. The sauces are well-balanced, with enough acidity and umami to make every bite delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Even when the place is busy, orders come quickly, and the staff keeps things running smoothly. No fuss, just tasty food that invites you to dig in. If you're in Da Nang and want to try authentic, delicious bánh xèo that locals love, Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng is the place to go. Crispy pancakes, fresh greens, and a lively atmosphere make it a great option for lunch or a casual dinner.
The food is also delicious, but I think I prefer the sweet and sour dipping sauce more, :v there are bitter vegetables, so if you can't eat this vegetable, be careful.
Delicious food at cheap prices, clean seating area
Delicious. The banh xeo is crispy and not greasy, the spring rolls are average. Overall the food is okay. The special thing is the dipping sauce. Super tasty, super addictive.
Country-style sizzling pancakes forever top-notch... every time this flavor reminds me of childhood days eating at village feasts, now thinking back, the food still retains its traditional taste, good job
The dipping sauce is amazing. The beef has a bit less betel leaves but still delicious. The banh xeo also has eggs 😋 but the vegetables are not washed clean, a bit wilted.
The food is delicious but cold, the restaurant is airy and cool, although the restaurant regularly cleans, there are still some places that are not very clean.
Nothing special, the rice crackers are crispy, the vegetables are a bit fewer varieties compared to other places, the grilled spring rolls are not chewy and not tasty. The eatery is very crowded, so I ordered grilled beef but the eatery forgot. Parking is free, price 130k.
The bánh xèo here is delicious, everyone! 👍🫶👍 The pancakes are crispy, the grilled nem is fragrant with firm meat, full of the specialty flavor of Đà Nẵng 😍. We ordered as shown in the picture, and two people were completely full. 😋 Although the entrance to the eatery is hidden in a small alley, the space is spacious and airy, and it's always crowded with customers 👌 If you have a chance, come and experience it! 🤗
The staff is very okay, the space is clean. Most notably, the food. Whether it's delicious or not depends on each person's taste, but it's definitely hard to find the flavor of the dipping soy sauce for the cake here anywhere else.
The restaurant is already famous, it's been years since I last ate there, and now they've expanded the space even bigger. The food is still good, but I like the bánh xèo the most, the nem lụi and bò lá lốt are also okay but not wow enough. The staff ladies are also quick.
Delicious, enthusiastic service. Everyone should order just enough to eat, I ordered a bit too much so I got sick of it.
