The restaurant is very quiet with a relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful view. It's located right by the river, so you can take some amazing photos. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is especially dedicated. Every item on the menu has an illustration. Since all the photos were taken of actual cooked dishes, you don't have to worry about the food looking different from the pictures. Everything was tasty, well-seasoned, and worth the price. Overall, it's a wonderful experience. It is perfect for anyone who wants to 'chill' and enjoy hotpot."
Really pleasant experience, beautiful setting and very friendly owner and staff. Good is also very good and freshly made. Definitely worth a visit.
The food is getting worse and worse. The shrimp and clams are very stale. The enoki mushrooms were so spoiled that they became slimy, but I thought the restaurant had blanched them briefly, so I still put them in the hot pot. However, when I ate them, they were sour 🥹. I've been here several times, but none of the visits were satisfactory. The reason I came back was hoping the restaurant would improve, but the same situation still occurs. This is the last time I come here. So disappointed. I hope the restaurant will fix everything.
The restaurant space is spacious, with warm decorative colors. Tables, chairs, spoons, and chopsticks are arranged neatly and cleanly. The dishes are reasonably priced and palatable.
The shrimp rolls wrapped in cabbage are quite expensive, costing 50k for only 5 rolls. The mini hot pot with extra toppings doesn't give you much either.
Cool space, right by the river. About 3-4 km from the old town. The food is quite delicious and served quickly. I like the grilled oysters with eggs. The staff are quick, enthusiastic, and lovely.
It's very okay
I came into the restaurant and ordered very early, then waited for the food for a very long time, nearly an hour. The new staff were clumsy. The hot pot was brought out without the accompanying vermicelli, so I had to wait more for the vermicelli, and by then the hot pot had gone cold. The view was cool and chill, but waiting so long made it a bit cold. Overall, this experience was not good. I hope the restaurant will improve next time.
Small eatery but the hot pot for one person is quite wow, very delicious
I came to eat in the evening at the Cam Nam location and truly had a very bad experience with the restaurant. I have eaten here 5 or 6 times before, and this time the Cam Nam branch has been renovated and has young staff. The staff worked very carelessly, bringing the wrong dishes to our table 4 or 5 times. I only saw young staff at the restaurant, no adults to handle the situation. This time returning, I am disappointed with the restaurant.
A 3-star experience. The grilled food is okay, but the flavor is not outstanding. However, the serving time is quite long, and I had to wait a lot even though the restaurant wasn't too crowded. The major downside is that the utensils and equipment are not clean, with dust and dirt, making me feel uneasy when using them. The space is acceptable, but hygiene and service speed need improvement for a better customer experience.
The experience at this eatery was really terrible. I ordered 1 combo plus 1 separate dish, but they brought out the wrong items, and then there was no apology, no checking or supplementing the missing dishes, leaving customers waiting for a very long time without anyone noticing. Only when I asked did they bother to check the bill. Although there were 3–4 staff members, they were completely lacking in observation and extremely careless in service; when asked, they only explained that there was 1 chef, while the many staff couldn't help at all. The dipping sauce was not proactively brought out; I had to remind them, and even then it was missing and insufficient for multiple people. The eatery was not crowded (only about 3 tables), yet mistakes kept happening, and the waiting time was too long—nearly 45 minutes for just one dish. Only at checkout was it fast. The food was barely acceptable, but given the not-cheap prices, such service quality is completely unacceptable. I don't want to visit again!
In a fairly quiet corner near Thanh Nam Bridge, in the Cam Nam area of Hoi An, there is a small eatery that, if you're not 'destined,' you can easily... pass by without noticing. That is Co Ba Vang – a place worth trying if you're looking for a family-style, cozy grill house – hot pot restaurant. My family visited the eatery on a rather rushed evening, so we didn't have much time to explore the entire menu. However, with just a few quickly ordered dishes, the eatery still left a fairly clear impression. The table-grilled meats are the first highlight. The meat is marinated richly, well-seasoned, and when grilled, it gives off a very appetizing aroma. Although we didn't order many types, we could feel the care in the marination – not too elaborate but suitable for the palate. The biggest surprise must be the tamarind stewed quail eggs – a seemingly familiar dish but executed very 'on point' by the eatery. The sweet and sour taste of tamarind blends with the rich, creamy quail eggs, creating a rather unique and appealing sensation. This is a dish that, if I return, I will definitely order first again. Additionally, the fried chicken cartilage with fish sauce and the stir-fried noodles are also quite decent: the chicken cartilage is crispy and flavorful; the noodles are not too oily and taste just right. A small but lovely plus is that the eatery also gives an extra portion of steamed egg – simple yet creates a feeling of care and hospitality. The eatery's space is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and quick, creating a comfortable dining experience. The prices are also quite reasonable compared to the general level, especially for family groups or young groups. However, there is one rather regrettable thing: the eatery is located a bit deep in an alley, so it's not easy for many people to know about it. If the eatery invested more in promotion, especially on social media, it would surely attract more diners, because the food quality is completely deserving. Even though it was just a quick visit, Co Ba Vang still left enough goodwill to promise a return. Next time, when I have more time, I will definitely try more hot pot dishes and a variety of other grilled items to see what other surprises the eatery has to keep diners coming back.

The shop is under renovation, changing location, and not selling during Tet, everyone. I also didn't know, so I stopped by but the shop was closed; the neighbors there said so.

I also don't understand why everyone rates it so highly. I went to eat and saw 3 members greeting at the front to the point that I had to turn around (3 super fat and big hamsters). My friend and I had to turn around immediately even though we hadn't tried the food yet, but seeing that was scary.
The most delicious food is bun dam mam tom (rice vermicelli with shrimp paste)

We really liked it! Delicious food and very friendly staff. Tasty fruit teas! We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Especially the Lao soup. The menu is in Vietnamese, but there is WiFi and we easily translated everything.
Authentic small Vietnamese restaurant with, among other things, a hotpot that was really very good and not expensive at all.
