Quite average food. Below average service. It was quick, but lacked.
The food was average. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. But I was with a vietnamese person who knew vietnamese food. The food was served quickly. But after that, we rarely saw anyone for anything like additional drinks. Other people in the restaurant seem to be more. He impressed. I don't think I would go back.
Absolutely loved our visit to this really cute restaurant. We both ordered the Bún chả and it was honestly outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and just melted in the mouth, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food here 🥰 Service was friendly and efficient, and everything arrived quickly while still feeling freshly prepared. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious authentic food in a lovely setting.
The place makes a very pleasant first impression thanks to its beachfront location. In addition to the great location, I really liked the interior design, especially the back garden, which is designed like a tropical rainforest and looks fantastic. I would recommend guests choose the second floor back balcony. The staff are very friendly and well-intentioned. I tried the duck meatballs and Saigon beer here, and I really enjoyed both. I definitely recommend this place.
If friends visit me in Da Nang and want to try Vietnamese food, this is exactly where I’d bring them. The food is incredibly tasty, the menu has plenty of choice, and every dish arrives beautifully presented — you can tell real care goes into the experience. The restaurant is spotless, the interior is stylish and welcoming, and even though it seems popular with visitors, it doesn’t feel like a tourist conveyor belt. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Great food, beautiful setting, and somewhere I’d happily return to again and again. Definitely a place worth visiting.
We didn’t make reservation. So when we reached there. It’s was fully booked. So need make a reservation and come back an hour later since our hotel nearby. We ordered the chicken and it came with quinoa. The chicken tasted yummy and juicy. Morning glory with egg is tasty. The brinjal is delicious. Grilled to perfection. The fish soup is good and tasty. The fish is catfish. No fishy smell. Highly recommend. Will come again.
The both of us took a grab bike here about 12.30pm for lunch. There were indoor and outdoor seating both very well ventilated. We ordered our food from the big hardcover menu which was very well done with clear information and good photos. Food took a while to be served even though the restaurant was well staffed. Overall the food was very well presented. Portions were adequate. Taste was hit and miss as we are not Vietnamese and cannot appreciate certain flavors. You can never go wrong with spring roll and bun cha. Place was definitely more pricey than your local restaurant or corner joint. But it gives a good representation of Vietnamese food in a controlled hygienic environment. Restaurant location is also just across the jetty where the boat leaves for river cruises
Mediocre experience
No complaints in the food, wasn’t anything mind blowing, but was tasty and dynamic. Service was subpar, staff were timid and hesitant, and service was slow. 2nd floor was very loud, and waiters were scattering left right and center, but not attentive. Hoping for better plate clearing, and attentive service. Staff had poor English, which made ordering a challenge. Madam Lan’s food was superior.
Unforgettable dinner journey
Dining at Luk Lak was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Vietnam. I followed the chef’s recommendations on the menu and every dish was a true explosion of flavors. The sauces added an incredible twist and the balance of tastes was just perfect. Even the coriander, which I usually find overpowering, was beautifully balanced here. Seasonal ingredients made every bite fresh and vibrant. Honestly, I would come back to Hanoi just to taste these flavors again — simply
Accidentally Found This Hidden Gem
We were looking for a good breakfast near our hotel (Crowne Plaza City Centre), and my travel companion found Luk Lak on the internet. We didn’t know about its Michelin Star accolade until we arrived at its main entrance. There are Vietnamese authentic dishes and Bun Cha served for breakfast. We liked them very much that we came back again on the second day before making our way to the airport. My travel companion had its coffee while I had the delicious (and it was not too sweet) hot chocolate. The staff were courteous and the service was swift.
Superb food - no service
Whilst the food was great - more than enjoyable in fact, there was NO service. The staff stood chatting by cashier with their backs to customers. Kitchen staff started dragging trash through the restaurant - just to dump it outside. Health hazard
