I've eaten here many times, but the last two times were the most frustrating! The peak was tonight: I arrived and ordered steamed clams, but after 1 hour and 20 minutes, nothing came. When I asked the staff, they said the restaurant was out and had ordered more (if I hadn't asked, would they have just stayed silent?). Then I asked what dish could be served quickly, and they said salad, but after half an hour, still nothing. 5 minutes later, I saw the staff bring out two bowls of clams for two tables that had just arrived, not my table. I asked for a bowl of soy sauce three times before it was brought out. I will never return to this restaurant again. My suggestion to the owner: improve the operation!
The food took a long time to come out; I had to call the menu 3 or 4 times before they brought it out. The grilled meat was served raw, and there was no dipping sauce. When I asked, the staff said it was out of stock and offered to change to shrimp paste, which I agreed to. Then when it was time to leave, there was absolutely nothing to dip with, so reconsider the staff.
This place is really chill, but the manager is very bad. The story is that I called to book a table and ordered outside beer because the restaurant didn't have the beer I like. The manager agreed and asked the staff to go buy it. While waiting, I also ordered 2 dishes and waited for my friend. By the time the 2 dishes came out and my friend arrived, there was still no beer—that was already half an hour of waiting. I asked the staff if they could just bring me some cans of the restaurant's beer to drink temporarily if they couldn't get the beer I wanted, but they absolutely refused to bring it out. I also went to the counter to talk to the manager and received a condescending reply like this: 'Well, you said you wanted the beer you like, so I had the staff go buy it for you no matter what.' And when the beer finally arrived and the staff brought it out, the manager also came to my table and loudly and sternly said, 'Well, you wanted to drink that beer, so I bought it for you no matter what. Don't scold the staff; it's not their fault.' I had no reason to scold the staff at all, and he was slandering me in front of many other customers. So I lost my mood, paid the bill, and left, even though the appetizers were untouched because I was waiting for the beer to start eating. It was truly a very bad experience. I had called ahead and expressed my desire to sit at the restaurant and asked them to buy beer for me, and the manager agreed before I came in. If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have wanted to sit there at all.
