Great food and services!
Not delicious, wait too long and too expensive
The restaurant is as hot as a furnace, the fan is left unused, please turn on the fan for me but they don't turn it on, the service is like a funeral procession, I will probably never come back to this restaurant for the rest of my life.
I really wanted to get some Gỏi cuốn (spring rolls) and they didn't disappoint, it's packed with herbs, rice vermicelli, peeled prawns and slice of ham. They make it to your order, so it's fresh and fast and delicious. It was served with 2 dipping sauces and a calamansi. Total 40k vnd for 5 rolls. The other day I tried bánh canh cá lóc — soup with thick rice noodles (kinda like udon), scallions and pieces of white fish (google says it should be snakehead fish, but I can't tell). It's a great soup, aromatic, broth is deep and flavorful, definitely recommend (go try something other than pho). 10/10
I am a regular customer who often eats at this eatery. The two female owners look very kind. Today I forgot my backpack. Inside there was a wallet with several tens of millions. A few hours later I came back to get it and everything was still intact. Thank you, sisters!!!
Bánh Canh Bà Đợi is a Vietnamese eatery with 4 branches, 3 in Hue and 1 in Da Nang. Their extensive menu includes Gỏi Cuốn (Vietnamese Summer Rolls), Súp Cua (Crab Soup), Bún Mắm (Noodles with Fermented Fish Sauce), and Mì Quảng (Quang Noodles). I usually order their Gỏi Cuốn through a delivery app, but today I decided to dine in. The Gỏi Cuốn are not pre-rolled, they are made to order with fresh rice paper, shrimp, pork, and vegetables. They are served with a dipping sauce of your choice, Mắm Nêm or Nước Mắm. I personally prefer Tương Đen (you can easily find this sauce at every eatery that sells Gỏi Cuốn in Saigon), which is a more suitable sauce for this dish. The service was average. The staff were polite, but they did not seem very friendly. I didn't feel very welcome when I entered the eatery. Perhaps they are used to serving customers through delivery apps, and they have not yet learned how to provide a great customer experience for diners in person. Overall, I would still recommend Bánh Canh Bà Đợi to those who are looking for delicious Vietnamese food. The Gỏi Cuốn are fresh and flavourful, and the other dishes on the menu are also good.
Delicious crab soup, with 3 big shrimp to eat satisfyingly
