Unexpectedly good only language barriar
Good
⚠️ Attention, Tourists and Expats: Beware! I want to share an experience to warn others about a deceptive tactic I recently encountered, which appeared to be a deliberate 'language barrier' scam at a local eatery. It's a shame that such dishonesty can sour the travel experience in such a beautiful country and beautiful people of vietnam. The Overcharged Order The situation began simply enough. I wanted to order a shrimp dish, so I showed the young server a picture on my phone. She nodded, confirming her understanding, and then used her own phone to translate the word "shrimp," to which I readily agreed. To ensure clarity, I then used my own translator to show her my confirmation and even pointed directly to a photograph of the shrimp dish displayed inside the restaurant. What followed was a deliberate pause—long enough for her to calculate the maximum possible overcharge—before she finally typed out an astronomical price: 245,000 Dongs! Because I desperately needed to charge my phone and was settled in, I reluctantly accepted the price, fully aware I was being grossly fleeced. I then added a soda to my order. The Unwanted Surprise My shrimp dish arrived promptly. However, just as I finished my meal, a completely unsolicited and unwanted plate of squid was placed in front of me. I was genuinely shocked; I don't even eat squid, let alone order it! When I protested, the server immediately feigned complete innocence, using her translator to ask, "What is the problem?" as if genuinely baffled by my confusion. I explained clearly via Google Translate that I had not ordered the squid. She simply said, "Okay," and walked away, acting as if the matter was resolved and everything was fine! The Final Tally and Bitter Reflection The real shock came with the bill, which totaled 345,000 Dongs. The itemization confirmed my suspicions: the shrimp was listed at a more reasonable 99,000 Dongs, the soda at 12,000 Dongs, and the remaining amount was the charge for the unsolicited squid. I paid the full amount to avoid further confrontation, but the experience left a profoundly bitter taste in my mouth. Vietnam is a magnificent country, and it's a deep shame that being exploited like this casts a shadow over the experience. As a final verification before leaving, I checked the picture menu on the wall where I had originally pointed out the shrimp dish. Sure enough, the unrequested 'scam' squid dish was nowhere to be found. I promised myself never to return.
Lovely restaurant on the corner of busy road by the beach. I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and they were really delicious. Great place to enjoy good food with a nice view, only don't forget noise canceling earphones. The restaurant is spacious and airy with a beautiful location near the sea. The place is suitable for drinking and dining with family. The staff is very enthusiastic and quick in their actions. The dishes are served promptly without waiting. The restaurant is okay, VIP.
Spacious and airy space, delicious food, fresh seafood, very chill sea view
Male staff served very well, female staff I found also unpleasant. Food was served late. The owner had customers sitting there but cursed at the staff, swore at those customers. The staff and kitchen sat outside smoking, crossing their legs. I will not come to this restaurant again.
Temporarily
Terrible restaurant. No second time. Cooked too salty. Fish hot pot 240 but too little fish, fish pre-placed in the pot brought out to customers. Dishonest business! Why not put it on a plate? Thai-style clams too salty
Clams were steamed but not cooked through - the broth was too salty, not hot enough - sold at market price (ridiculous, 110k per half kilo) - grouper hot pot 240k, the staff brought out the hot pot with the fish already inside, I suspected something was off, the fish was too little, dishonest business, annoying, damn this eatery
Fresh seafood, every dish is delicious. Reasonable price about 1 million VND for 6 people. On holidays, there are many customers, but the dishes are still served very quickly. Only a few waitstaff are running the tables, so bowls or ice take a bit longer, but it's understandable.
Service is superficial, food takes a very long time to come out
English speaker here. The menu was all in Vietnamese, which I found perfect just took a photo of the menu gave it to AI and bingo! This is the real Vietnam, where a few people speak English. The food was very, very good. I had Stirfried morning glory ( Rau muống/Rau lủi xào )had this appetizer many times before and this restaurant got it perfectly. I also ordered oysters grilled with a scallion oil (Hàu nướng mỡ hành. )Absolutely delicious and topped with what I think was crispy garlic. Right across the street from Dana Bay you can watch the fisherman and great people watching on the busy intersection. I recommend.
Suitable for drinking and eating, extremely affordable price with quite a lot of dishes, serving is relatively fast, space is okay. Overall, considering the food, it's tastier than many other drinking eateries and the price is also cheaper.
The quality is not as good as before
I just ate with my family earlier. The food came quickly, was piping hot, and suited my family's taste. I noticed one staff member running back and forth, taking orders, serving dishes, doing everything, and whenever I called, they were enthusiastic and smiling. I really like restaurants with staff who are enthusiastic and lovely like this. A small suggestion is that the construction on the road is a bit dusty.
Absolutely delicious😽😽😽
The food took a very long time to come out, waited nearly an hour for it to arrive.
Spacious space, prices are okay. Currently a bit dusty because there is a construction site opposite.
An affordable eatery, reasonably priced, worth trying.
The food must be said to be boring. My wife and I were hungry and came in to eat, but it was bad. From fried rice to oysters. The only thing that was decent was the beef. I ate here over a month ago, by the way.
The food is terrible. When they first moved from the old shop, it was still okay, but now it's gotten really bad. Only the grouper cooked with pineapple and tomato is slightly decent. I'm not full yet, but I don't want to order more.
Delicious food, dishes served quickly, enthusiastic staff, will visit the eatery many times.
Cool and comfortable eatery Every dish is delicious and suits my taste Good service staff, I will come back and experience again.
