So delicious
I waited about 15-20 minutes for the rice because I ordered chicken thigh, so it might take a while. Then the eatery was quite crowded; the staff called out, but it might have been too noisy, so I didn't hear. Then the eatery gave my rice box to someone else. I wonder why, if a customer had to leave for some business and came back to find their rice box missing? Even more ridiculous is that they blamed the customer.
I'm from Saigon on a business trip to Da Nang, craving Hoi An chicken rice. I searched on Google Maps and found this eatery with many positive reviews. But I don't know if it's bad luck or what, I ordered a plate of shredded chicken rice, and 2/3 of the chicken meat was very smelly, like it had been left out too long and gone off, or the chicken was too old; the rice was mushy; and I left behind 2/3 of the meat and 1/2 of the rice, even though I really hate wasting food. The ground was full of used napkins. The free soup was bland. A plus point was that the rice portion was quite large. When I asked for the bill, the owner (speaking with a Northern accent - a bit strange) asked why I ate so little. I said the chicken meat was too smelly to eat, and she stayed silent, not saying anything. I guess she knew why the chicken was smelly :))) The price of the shredded chicken rice plate was 35k.

The chicken rice is delicious, not too spicy or too salty, the portion is quite large and filling, eating it at noon in the sun is a bit stuffy.
A chicken rice eatery serving locals, the rice grains are chewy, fragrant, and rich in flavor. The chicken salad is mildly sweet, the boiled chicken is fragrant and tender, the fried chicken (called roti here) is delicious and juicy. The prices are super affordable. Good kitchen, enthusiastic service. Very worth trying.
A restaurant with fragrant rice and delicious chicken like village chicken
This eatery specialises in Hoi An Chicken Rice, but they also serve deep-fried chicken if you prefer. The menu has a variety of rice dishes with chicken, but I could not tell the difference between Cơm Gà Xé (shredded chicken rice) and Cơm Gà Trộn (mixed chicken rice). A serving of Cơm Gà Trộn (VND 30.000) comes with a small bowl of seaweed soup and a cup of iced tea. The service is quick and I highly recommend this eatery.
