Amazing restaurant. One of the best meals I’ve had in Vietnam over the past month! So tasty, nice interior decor and such friendly staff. Would definitely recommend 🫶🏽

This was a brilliant experience for us! We visited for lunch and had a great time, this restaurant really shows what amazing work everyone is capable of. The communication between their hearing and deaf employees was wonderful and inspiring for everyone. We had some really delicious food and drinks with a good variety of both available. The service was incredible and we hardly realised that there was no music playing in the restaurant. They were able to cater to many different group sizes. Great experience!

Vietnom Local Eatery was one of the most memorable dining experiences I had in Da Nang. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Vietnamese flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautiful presentation. Every dish we ordered was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. What makes this restaurant truly special is its deaf staff. As someone who has experience interacting with deaf people, I appreciated how thoughtfully the restaurant is set up to make communication easy and comfortable. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. A smile, eye contact, simple gestures, and a little patience go a long way, and the experience felt completely natural and enjoyable. I was impressed by how confidently and efficiently the team worked together. Rather than feeling like a novelty, it felt like exactly what it should be—a great restaurant with talented people providing excellent service. It was also a wonderful reminder that communication comes in many forms and that kindness and respect are universal. Combined with the outstanding food and welcoming atmosphere, Vietnom Local Eatery is a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Da Nang. It offers not only a fantastic meal but also a meaningful and positive experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Stumbled across this gem on an evening walk and it was absolutely beautiful. I ordered the beef spaghetti and it did not disappoint! The food came super quickly and tasted immaculate too. Would definitely recommend. 10/10 experience!

I've been here countless times, and everything feels like home. I love how this place welcomes me, not bustling, but peaceful. The food and service are impeccable. You should definitely come and enjoy it.

Delicious food and easy to order via QR code bc as we w were told the staff are hearing impaired so didn't take our order, no worries of course, the most delicious food and drinks I've had in Danang.

We were staying in Hoi An for the last leg of our vacation before returning to the U.S.A. and were looking forward to visiting Vietnom Local Eatery because our daughter is deaf and really wanted to visit the Da Nang location. She had heard about Vietnom Local Eatery from a college friend and we were all excited to go there. What an absolute disappointment!!!! We told the server (who was deaf) that we were from the U.S. and that our daughter is deaf - she could not have cared less; no reaction from her whatsoever. We have encountered several deaf people during our stay in Viet Nam and they were all happy to meet and interact with our daughter. No one at this restaurant cared to even attempt to converse with her. Our daughter is an adult, but as her mother, seeing how let down and sad this made her was difficult to watch. She even took the time to study and learn some basic Vietnamese signs but unfortunately wasn’t given the opportunity to use her new signs. What a waste of her time. By the way, the boys making the coffee were friendlier than the rest of the deaf staff; at least the boys smiled and waved at her. The second disappointment was the rejection of the t-shirt gift we brought them. We frequent a deaf-owned coffee shop in our home town and the owner was thrilled to give us a t-shirt bearing his business’ name in English and American Sign Language but the girl working the checkout said that they were not interested in the t-shirt. Cultural differences aside, I would think that there would have been a sense of connection to a deaf person from another country but we couldn’t have been more wrong. I wish now we had not purchased any of THEIR t-shirts. As for the food and drinks, my daughter’s Pho Quang was OK, my husband’s poke bowl was just OK, and the coffee was just OK. The Vietnamese black coffee with milk tasted like chocolate milk, which is not something we have tasted in any other Vietnamese coffee with milk we have had here. The avocado coffee, however, was a bad idea. After arriving back to our hotel our daughter promptly vomited nearly all the avocado coffee she drank. I do not recommend this drink to anyone. After we left Vietnom Local Eatery the car driver, who was a camera enthusiast, noticed my husband’s camera and the two started a lively conversation about their cameras and showed each other photos they had taken. It’s sad to think my husband made a better connection with a fellow camera enthusiast than our daughter did at the deaf-owned coffee shop. In fact, the hearing staff we have encountered at other restaurants in Viet Nam have made more of an effort to communicate with our daughter than did the deaf staff at Vietnom Local Eatery. Da Nang’s Vietnom Local Eatery is definitely NOT deaf friendly.

I've tried it a few times, but each time I've had a bad experience. I don't understand why so many people come here; the food is absolutely mediocre, overpriced. I ordered without spinach, but they brought it with spinach. Why is there a notes section if you're not going to pay attention to the notes? Never again.

Amazing food! Became my favourite and didn’t eat anywhere else for a few days till I changed hotel. Always busy but you never seem to wait to long for your meal. Cheap. But such creative , fresh meals. Best pork burger ever so juicy! I also had the rainbow bowl. Tip- grab didn’t want to pick me up from out front so i just walked down street a bit …. Definitely return here on next visit . Im not an easy person to impress with meals.not a pub meal person. This place was great…. Also too concept with staff is awesome

Very disappointing today. Was last here in February of 2025. Much better then. Today there was an issue of my order somehow being lost in the kitchen. After waiting 20 minutes, with a half empty restaurant, I asked about my food. 5 minutes later it arrived. It was nice and hot, but lacked any real flavor. So very tasteless. Ate about ¼ of it, and left the rest. Very disappointing, as my prior experiences had been so good.

One of the best restaurants in Vietnam. They have Vietnamese food with western taste. Good service - be noticed, the people with black shirt are deaf and with red shirt are not. Its very nice that they provide work for them and not making this an issue. I really love the Bo Kho dish.

Lovely restaurant staffed by locals with disability - deaf or mute. Quality of food was excellent, they had a mix of both local dishes as well as good quality poke bowls too. Good few vegan options as well. Highly recommend this one. Do make a reservation with them, if you're heading there during weekends.

Big plates of outstandingly delicious food in peaceful atmosphere - so far, one of my best choices to dine in Da nang.

Very tasty, inexpensive, and large portions. One serving of traditional Vietnamese noodles was enough for one very hungry person to eat their fill😄 The special feature of this place is that people with hearing impairments work here. You can even learn a few basic gestures and broaden your communication horizons. The guys work 5+ out of 5, they cook everything very quickly and maintain a cozy atmosphere of the establishment. This place is definitely worth stopping by.

Delicious and diverse food.

I have come here many times (about more than 30 times) and I like both the food and drinks here. The prices are reasonable and the space is okay, with quite cute decor. The shop has hearing-impaired staff who are very friendly and lovely. At the same time, there are regular staff (not hearing-impaired). The hearing-impaired staff wear black uniforms (with the word 'Silent' on the back), while the others wear burgundy shirts (with the words 'Em ơi' on the back). Most of the times I come, the tables are almost full and it's a bit noisy, but still possible to chat. The menu has quite a lot of dishes, so you need to come many times to explore, hehe. The smoothie bowls here are amazing, and I have tried all of them. I have also tried many dishes such as: phở sắn, gỏi cuốn sắn, bánh hỏi thịt nướng, phở bò trộn khô, cơm rim tôm,... all very delicious. Oh, the portions here are quite large, sometimes enough for two adults. I notice that most customers are foreigners, few Vietnamese, and all are young people. I will visit many more times.

The eatery primarily serves using sign language for communication, but there are also staff members who can hear normally. Service is fast. Many foreigners come here.

The menu is super diverse, with additional instructions about special symbols for the hearing impaired. The restaurant is cute, has plenty of tables and chairs, and is cool. The staff also takes good care of customers. You can easily order yourself via QR code. I tried the poke here and found it super delicious. The calorie count is clearly listed. You can mix different types of fish or rice. The sauce is rich, not bland at all. And the price is very reasonable. The eatery is mostly frequented by foreigners. The two or three times I went, I was the only Vietnamese person. The atmosphere here is gentle, chill, and very quiet. Everyone should come and try it.

Stayed in Da Nang for 1 month, went to this restaurant every week. All the food was delicious, beautifully presented. Drinks and cocktails were excellent. Service was outstanding. The staff members are hearing-impaired and use sign language, but they are very attentive to customers. I even dropped my glasses cloth, and a staff member ran after me to return it, even though I couldn't hear them calling. I didn't realize they were following me until I was quite far from the restaurant. Thank you so much to that staff member.

Is a very nice restaurant vegan friendly. I ate Bò Lúc Lắc with my husband with rice and bread. Very good, that plate reminds me of beef bourguignon with 2 energy smoothies. Really good those smoothies... And for dessert we asked for Americano Vietnamese milk coffee with almond milk. Really good that coffee, the best coffee that I have tried in my life. And my husband asked for a cappuccino, really good. For dessert, the banana sticky rice, I don't like that version. But the churros remind me of my country Argentina, so for me that was really good because with one taste it was like being in my hometown. Thank you for that déjà vu.

The best culinary experience I had in my two weeks in Vietnam between the north and the center. Everything perfect, atmosphere, quality and quantity of food with perfectly reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place.

The chef definitely fell in love, as they say here. Overly fatty dishes. We ordered pad thai and a burger. It was impossible to eat, too salty and literally swimming in fat. Prepared and served quite quickly.
