Amazing! Chao Cho is like fish ramen - a big warm hug in your mouth. Very patient host, and such a homely feel. Thank you!

Just came here with some doubts but I was totally wrong. You should come and feel the taste of authentic vietnam foods. Super chip and tasty!!!
The porridge is delicious, the eatery is very crowded so if you take away, you'll have to wait quite a while. The garlic chili fish sauce served here is tasty.
Waiting porridge is one of the dishes you must try when coming to Da Nang. And after descending from Hai Van Pass, this is a place where you can try it, offering a fairly good dining experience. Delicious and cheap, suitable for everyone, including foreigners.
As the name suggests, waiting for it to cook takes about 10 minutes, can't be faster. But it's delicious, excellent💯
The space is a bit dirty, but the waiting porridge is very delicious and cheap
Delicious, cheap, and waiting time is long, congee takes time, about 5-10 minutes depending on the number of customers. Bowl as shown in picture 20,000₫. You can buy extra fish for 5-10,000₫.
The attitude is very rude and arrogant towards customers, never coming back a second time
the shop does not sell cars
This eatery is one of the familiar addresses for many diners, located opposite Nguyen Trai High School. True to its name 'Cháo Chờ' (Waiting Porridge), you often have to 'wait' quite a while for a steaming bowl of porridge because the place is always crowded, especially in the afternoon and evening. However, the patience is well worth it when you enjoy a delicious, flavorful, and easy-to-eat bowl of porridge. The prices here are quite affordable: a regular bowl of porridge is only 20K, and if you want to add fish, it's 25K – very suitable for the budgets of students and workers in the area. The porridge is cooked to taste, neither too thin nor too thick. A big plus is the braised fish topping, with firm meat and no fishy smell, eaten with fried shallots and herbs to enhance the flavor. Although it's just a simple porridge dish, it leaves an unforgettable taste, creating a feeling of familiarity and warmth. A small downside is that due to the large number of customers, service cannot be fast, and sometimes you have to wait 10–15 minutes. The eatery's space is casual, not too large but clean and tidy. The owner and staff are quite friendly and cheerful, which makes diners feel more comfortable while waiting. In short, Cháo Chờ Nhàn is a worthwhile choice for those looking for a simple, delicious, cheap, and filling meal. If you don't mind waiting a bit, you will surely be satisfied with the quality and flavor here.
I had a pretty bad experience at this eatery! The attitude of the owner (the wife) made the food, though not bad in taste, feel impossible to swallow... The eatery should reconsider its communication with customers. People might come back a few times for the flavor, but they will never return for such unfriendly behavior from the owner. For tourists, the impression left by the eatery is not just its own but contributes to a negative image of the friendliness of Đà Nẵng people in general and food vendors in particular. It's 2025, and still maintaining such a sales attitude is truly sad!
Haven't been able to eat yet, visited the eatery at 6 PM both times but it was completely sold out, such a waste of effort.
First time eating cháo chờ, braised fish is firm, sweet, delicious, the eatery is quite crowded, intended to buy bread to eat with but the eatery didn't have any. Will come back to eat next time 😋😋😋
Braised/braised fish in a firm style; those who like soft fish won't find it suitable. The porridge is cooked directly, so it's very hot; those who can't eat hot food should be careful and wait for it to cool down a bit before eating. Hơph. You can also eat it with bread dipping when the porridge is hot (bought outside - the eatery does not sell bread). Note only that the eatery is closed on holidays and Sundays, or closes early (usually closes by 6 PM). There is no phone number to call in advance, so if you're far away, it's a bit inconvenient to come all the way.
Arrogant business. Bought to take away. Asked to keep the fish separate, then they said in a careless manner like take it or leave it. Also bought 3 bowls, they put them together. Made the whole bowl of banh canh fishy. No second visit.
delicious eatery
Long wait, service not enthusiastic
Sidewalk porridge, dirty, boring
Bánh canh CHẢNH.
Too much attitude
I went there after seeing reviews from Koreans, but it was so fishy that it was hard to eat. Moreover, the hygiene... And the wooden chopsticks were hard to use. T_T It seems many people have already visited based on the ratings, as they welcomed my family when they saw us. I'm not someone with a weak stomach, but it was too much for me, so I'm leaving this review.
The Nth time running from Son Tra to Hoa Khanh to eat waiting porridge at Ms. Nhan's house😗😗 Today it's raining, eating this dish is just right
Delicious porridge - the lady's face is a bit grumpy but she talks cheerfully
