I had to wait about an hour for my order, reminding them several times. Lots of locals, noisy.
A fairly long-standing seafood eatery in Da Nang, the restaurant seems to have been opened by a chef over 10 years ago. Previously, I first dined there when it opened at the old location, which was small and casual. The restaurant is now located right on two frontages of Vo Van Kiet Street, and has recently opened a second location across the street. The restaurant is very spacious with a beautiful view...
The food here is delicious, but the service staff is a bit slow. The seating is very spacious. The raw oysters are very okay. The grilled oysters with cheese have a bit too much cheese, so they are cloying.
The Lão Đại restaurant has 2 branches located very close to each other, with air-conditioned rooms (reservation required via hotline). The eatery is spacious and can accommodate large groups of guests. The food is generally okay for seafood dishes, fresh, and well-prepared. Dishes that are not...
Terrible, the dishes are offensive to the diner, with no respect for the customers. The seafood fried noodles looked mushy, the seafood was mushy, and the grilled beef tasted like it had been sitting for days. The crispy pork belly was all fat, not a single piece of meat, absolutely awful. Running a restaurant is too easy, isn't it?! Disrespectful to customers, will never return.
Do not welcome customers to avoid!
The restaurant is spacious, few customers, staff service is very poor... The chef decorates the dishes with too little aesthetics, the shrimp costs nearly 2 million VND but the preparation is really disappointing...
I had a pretty bad experience here. I hope the restaurant can review the attitude of the staff. I went with 3 people and found it quite difficult to get service; every time we ordered, we had to go to the service area to call them, even though they were standing together in a group of three. We had to get up and call them because the staff didn't manage the entire area. The food here is reasonably priced, but the atmosphere is quite noisy.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, I saw many locals eating here. The four of us ate for this much. However, the service staff wasn't very enthusiastic😇 …
The food is okay. Service is too slow. 15-20 minutes for one dish, even pre-ordered items are not ready. Payment calculation is incorrect. Overall, it's poor.
Two floors, so one side is crowded and the other side is empty. The empty side is quiet and well taken care of by the staff. The downside that made me give a 3-star rating is that one staff member was smoking in front of the fan, blowing smoke directly into my face. The restaurant was crowded, no need to mention, but there was only my table, yet it was like that.
We came for dinner with family. The waiters were not ready to serve groups. They cheated on the weighing of seafood and the serving of ready-made dishes by grammage. Delicious, but we paid for air.
The food is okay, but the management and service are too weak.
The thing I loved most about this place was the garlic butter sauce, but coming back to eat now, it's a total disappointment. The sauce barely has any garlic, so it lacks aroma, and the butter seems to be a cheap kind, making it thick and unnaturally bright yellow. Previously, the sauce...
Booked a table early. Already paid a deposit. But when we arrived, there was no room as booked. The reserved room was used by others. We were put into a temporary room that was cramped, with a closed space, and the karaoke was a mess, not set up in advance as promised. Felt like wasting 700k for booking a room with karaoke, but had a very terrible experience. No second time at this place.
Why do you allow your guests to make noise at karaoke late at night? This is disgusting and disturbs everyone around. Follow the quiet hours and respect others.
Fresh seafood, the flavor is just right for me. But the dishes are served quite slowly despite having many staff.
The manager is dishonest and arrogant. My group booked a year-end party room, and the manager guaranteed that if the bill was over 5 million VND, karaoke would be free. On the final day, the manager called back and said we had to pay 800k for karaoke. Not free. Didn't keep the promise, a scam.
Super delicious cobia hot pot, fresh fish. The hot pot broth is well-cooked, rich in flavor. The fresh seafood dishes are okay in taste, retaining natural sweetness. The eatery is spacious, service staff is okay.
When traveling to Da Nang and asking for a delicious and affordable seafood restaurant, I vote for Lao Dai first. Truly worth the money.
Delicious and cheap food eatery. Coming back next time
The restaurant is busy but the service is still attentive, the food comes out quickly, very professional.
Customers arrived at 16:30, ordered dishes to be made urgently for airport departure, ordered: fried rice, steamed squid, grilled fish (Chìa Vôi fish), Dìa fish soup cooked with pineapple and tomato. Result: after nearly 30 minutes only fried rice came out, after 50 minutes steamed squid came out (even though this dish takes only 10 minutes to prepare), after 70 minutes grilled fish came out, but the Dìa fish soup was still nowhere to be seen. Despite urging the staff many times, after 1.5 hours the customers had to leave without eating the fish soup :) The staff were clueless, no manager, food not tasty, and service extremely slow even though the restaurant had only 1 or 2 tables. If nothing changes, the name Lão Đại will soon be just a thing of the past.
Every time I visit Da Nang, I have to eat here at least one meal. The food is consistent, not sometimes good and sometimes bad.
