Elevating the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival to a Signature Spiritual Cultural Event
On the afternoon of June 30, the Organizing Committee of the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival held a meeting to review the organization of the 2026 festival, while drawing lessons and proposing solutions to improve quality for the coming years. Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, chaired the conference.
The Quan The Am Festival has long been one of the largest spiritual cultural events at Ngu Hanh Son, attracting tens of thousands of locals and pilgrims from all directions to pay homage and visit the pagoda. At the conference, delegates highly appreciated the results achieved in organizing the 2026 festival, especially the smooth coordination among departments, mass organizations, and local authorities to ensure security, safety, environmental hygiene, and create a good impression on visitors. However, the organizing committee also pointed out some limitations that need to be addressed, such as the promotion and publicity efforts not being sufficiently extensive, and the arrangement of food service activities being disorderly in some areas.
Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized the goal of elevating the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival into a signature cultural and spiritual festival of Da Nang, contributing to promoting the local tourism and cultural image. To achieve this, the city will focus on investing in infrastructure, beautifying the landscape of the Ngu Hanh Son area, and developing more distinctive artistic programs and spiritual activities. Specific solutions such as strengthening promotion on digital platforms, connecting with travel agencies to attract international visitors, and improving the quality of food services and souvenir products for tourists were also mentioned.
With a clear direction and the involvement of the government and local people, the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival promises to become a high-class spiritual cultural tourism product, attracting not only Buddhist devotees but also tourists who love exploring indigenous culture. This is also an opportunity for Da Nang to affirm its position as the leading spiritual tourism destination in Central Vietnam.
