Da Nang Plans to Support 6,300 Households in Disaster Areas to Stabilize Residences for 2026-2030 Period

On the morning of June 10, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung chaired a working session with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and relevant departments and agencies to hear a progress report on drafting content to be submitted to the City People's Council. The focus of the meeting was the plan to support residential stabilization for about 6,300 households living in areas frequently affected by natural disasters, applicable to the 2026-2030 period.

This is part of the city's long-term efforts to ensure safety and improve living conditions for residents in high-risk areas such as riverside, coastal, and flood-prone or landslide-prone zones. Households are expected to receive support for relocation or home renovation, stable housing, combined with more effective disaster prevention solutions. The meeting focused on discussing mechanisms, resources, and implementation progress to ensure feasibility when submitting to the People's Council for approval.

As a locality frequently hit by storms and floods, investing in residential stabilization in disaster-prone areas not only helps reduce human and property losses but also helps form sustainable residential communities. The 2026-2030 plan is expected to bring safer lives to thousands of households while contributing to the overall development of this livable city.
