Da Nang and Vietnam Airlines Sign Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement for 2026-2030

On July 10, 2026, at the city's administrative center, the Da Nang City People's Committee and Vietnam Airlines officially signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation for the 2026-2030 period. The event marked a new step in the strategic partnership between the two sides, building on the successes achieved during the 2023-2025 period.

Under the cooperation agreement, both parties will focus on key areas such as: researching the expansion of domestic and international flight networks to Da Nang, improving the efficiency of existing routes, and enhancing the promotion of Da Nang's tourism image through Vietnam Airlines' diverse media channels. Additionally, developing premium tourism products tied to flight routes, such as MICE tourism, resort stays, golf, and culinary experiences, is also a top priority.

During the previous cooperation period, the two sides jointly organized effective tourism promotion programs in key markets, including fam trips and press trips for international media and travel companies. Vietnam Airlines also actively accompanied Da Nang at major tourism fairs such as ITE Ho Chi Minh City and TRAVEX, and supported the city's promotion through Heritage magazine, in-flight entertainment systems, and digital platforms. The airline has also been a partner of major cultural and tourism events in the city, including DIFF, DANAFF, the Vietnam-Japan Festival, the Korea Festival, and the Enjoy Da Nang Festival.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 6 domestic routes and 4 international routes to/from Da Nang. In the first six months of 2026 alone, the airline transported over 2.3 million passengers through the city's airport. This cooperation is expected to continue contributing positively to the strong growth of Da Nang's tourism industry, with the number of overnight visitors in the first half of 2026 reaching nearly 9.8 million, up 22% compared to the same period last year, including a 28% increase in international visitors.
