Locals only place, with strong drip coffee
This is a locals place, where they can enjoy their coffees and smokes on low chairs and tables, while watching the world go by. We were recommended by our guide to try this out. As it was only round the corner from the hotel, we went there for coffee one morning. The drip coffee was strong, and took a few minutes to drip into the condensed milk. They also provide ice to dilute the coffee if you prefer it that way. Two drip coffees cost 40,000 dong, which was reasonable.
Vietnamese Drip Coffee in Vietnamese (only) cafe
I'm looking for Vietnamese drip coffee in Da Nang and walked past this place. I was thrilled. Totally local, nothing else is served. This is also a shop that sells many varieties of coffee, ground, or instant with cream and sugar etc. It's on a street corner. Should you order drip coffee ice, it comes with a glass of cool tea first. Then they bring the "dripper" to your table with ice, usually served separately. This drip may take 10 minutes and it is part of the experience! It is very strong coffee and I always add water to cut the sweetness of the condensed milk that is a part of this delightful drink!
