33 Tons of Waste Collected After DIFF 2026 Opening Night: Environmental Cleanup Efforts

After the brilliant fireworks display that opened DIFF 2026 on the Han River, environmental cleanup efforts were quickly deployed to restore the city's clean and beautiful landscape. According to the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, the unit completed the collection of about 33 tons of waste generated during the opening night on May 31. This waste was transported to transfer stations and treatment facilities, ensuring no environmental pollution.

The opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival always attracts tens of thousands of locals and tourists to admire the show. The waste generated mainly consisted of packaging, plastic bottles, leftover food, and single-use items. The company mobilized personnel and vehicles to work through the night, promptly cleaning the main roads around the east and west banks of the Han River, as well as crowded gathering points.

Da Nang city always prioritizes environmental protection during major tourism events. The rapid control and disposal of waste after the opening night not only helps preserve urban aesthetics but also contributes to creating a positive impression on domestic and international tourists. This is an ongoing effort to build Da Nang's image as a green, friendly, and sustainable destination.
