Da Nang Launches Beach Cleanup Campaign on World Environment Day
On the morning of June 4, at Man Thai Beach (Son Tra Ward), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, in coordination with the City Union of Friendship Organizations and the City Peace Committee, launched a beach cleanup campaign to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5.
This activity aims to raise community awareness about marine environment protection and preserve the beach landscape – one of Da Nang's key tourism resources. A large number of officials, members, and residents participated in collecting waste and cleaning the beach, demonstrating a sense of responsibility for a green, clean, and beautiful city.
This is also an occasion for Da Nang to call on the community to join hands in protecting the environment and moving toward sustainable tourism development. Practical actions such as the beach cleanup campaign help maintain the image of a friendly and civilized destination that attracts domestic and international tourists.
