Japan Looks to Bring Professional Surf Training Services to Da Nang

During a working session with a Japanese delegation on the morning of May 18, Da Nang city leaders heard a proposal from the President of the Vietnam–Japan Friendship Association regarding the possibility of introducing professional surf training services in the city. This was among the key topics discussed during the official visit between Japanese representatives and municipal authorities.

Da Nang boasts a long coastline, consistent seasonal waves, and a steady flow of tourists year-round — all of which lay a strong foundation for developing water sports, including surfing. Should this partnership move forward, the city could add a professional beach experience to its tourism offerings, attracting both domestic visitors and international travelers already well-acquainted with surf culture in Japan and beyond.

This development reflects the growing momentum of cooperation between Da Nang and its Japanese partners across a wide range of fields, from economic and cultural ties to sports tourism. For outdoor enthusiasts eager to take on the waves of Central Vietnam, this is a promising sign of things to come.
