Da Nang Leaders Attend Vesak Celebration PL 2570 at Phap Lam Pagoda

On the morning of May 31, in the solemn and joyful atmosphere of the Vesak season (Buddhist calendar 2570 - Gregorian 2026), a grand ceremony to celebrate the Buddha's birthday was held at Phap Lam Pagoda in Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City.

The event was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Da Nang City and attracted a large number of Buddhist monks, nuns, followers, and local residents. City leaders also attended and joined the celebration, demonstrating the government's care for the spiritual and religious life of the people.

Vesak is one of the most important Buddhist holidays of the year. In Da Nang, Vesak celebrations are typically held in a solemn atmosphere, providing an opportunity for the Buddhist community to express their reverence and turn toward the values of compassion and wisdom of Buddhism. This year, the main ceremony was held at Phap Lam Pagoda, an ancient temple with a long history in the city center.
