Da Nang Breaks Ground on T2 International Terminal Expansion with Nearly VND 1,500 Billion Investment
On the morning of May 19, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operations Joint Stock Company officially broke ground on the upgrade and expansion of its international passenger terminal, known as Terminal T2. The total investment for the project reaches nearly VND 1,500 billion, reflecting the city's strong commitment to modernizing its aviation infrastructure.
Da Nang International Airport has long served as the premier aviation gateway for Central Vietnam, welcoming millions of international visitors every year. However, the relentless growth in tourism over recent years has created an urgent need to expand service capacity — particularly in the international arrivals and departures areas. Breaking ground on Terminal T2 at a time when Da Nang's tourism is surging is an encouraging sign for the hospitality and travel industries alike, as well as for local residents.
For travelers planning a visit to Da Nang and Hoi An in the coming years, this project signals the city's long-term development vision. Once completed, the expanded terminal is expected to shorten check-in and immigration processing times, improve the overall arrival experience, and help attract more direct international flights to Central Vietnam.
