This Week: Da Nang Leaders Discuss Key Issues from Education, Healthcare to Tourism and Startups

During the week from May 25 to 30, 2026, the Da Nang City People's Committee, along with the Chairman and Vice Chairmen, conducted a series of notable activities guiding the city's development across many key sectors.

One of the highlights was the opening ceremony of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, kicking off the vibrant tourism season. In addition, city leaders emphasized the goal of making Da Nang a model locality for education and training, while positioning the city as a high-quality healthcare center in the region. An Hai Ward was also asked to restructure its tourism industry to adapt to the new situation.

Regarding infrastructure and connectivity, the City People's Committee discussed strengthening East-West connections in the master plan to fully tap the potential of the western area. Additionally, an important decision was the establishment of the Institute for Research and Training in FinTech, Innovation, and Sustainable Development, reflecting the vision of a knowledge-based economy.

Representatives from the communes of Chien Dan, Tay Ho, and Phu Ninh also proposed boosting local infrastructure and tourism. The past week also marked the launch of the 2026 Month of Action for Children. Overall, the series of activities demonstrates the city government's determination and comprehensive approach in building Da Nang for sustainable development.
