Da Nang Resolutely Joins High-Intensity Campaign Against Intellectual Property Infringement
On the morning of June 2, Deputy Prime Minister Hồ Quốc Dũng chaired a national online conference to review the implementation of the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 38/CĐ-TTg. The conference focused on evaluating results and proposing more decisive measures to combat, prevent, and handle acts of intellectual property infringement. The Da Nang bridge was chaired by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu, with participation from relevant departments and agencies.
At the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that protecting intellectual property rights is not only a legal task but also a key factor in promoting innovation, attracting investment, and ensuring sustainable economic development. The new high-intensity campaign will focus on sectors vulnerable to violations such as e-commerce, counterfeit and imitation goods, especially those related to food, cosmetics, and electronic devices. Provinces and cities are required to strengthen inspections, impose strict penalties, and enhance inter-agency coordination.
For Da Nang, active participation in this campaign demonstrates its commitment to building a healthy business environment and protecting the rights of consumers and legitimate enterprises. The city will implement a comprehensive set of measures, ranging from communication and awareness raising to inspection and penalty enforcement. This is especially meaningful as Da Nang strives to become a creative startup hub and an attractive tourist destination, where brand reputation is a valuable asset.
