Da Nang Rises to the Top of the Country in Attracting International Visitors During Major Holidays

The extended holiday period surrounding the Hung Kings' Festival and the April 30–May 1 reunification and Labor Day holidays has delivered impressive results for Da Nang's tourism industry. The city welcomed an estimated 612,000 international visitors during this period, shooting to the top spot nationwide in foreign tourist arrivals and leaving major hubs like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City well behind.

According to official figures, the number of international visitors to Da Nang during the holidays was approximately 2.5 times that of Hanoi and more than 3.3 times that of Ho Chi Minh City. These numbers reflect the growing appeal of this Central Vietnamese coastal city among travelers from around the world — especially during long holidays when demand for beach experiences, local cuisine, and cultural attractions runs high.

These results are an encouraging sign that Da Nang's tourism infrastructure, accommodations, and experiential offerings are increasingly meeting the expectations of international visitors. With this momentum, tourism businesses and restaurants across the city have a strong opportunity to continue raising their service standards and position themselves ahead of the peak seasons coming in the remaining months of 2026.
